In April 2000, the OUR recognized the need to effectively manage the documents and books which it had accumulated. As a result, the OUR’s Library was established and it has since evolved into an Information Centre (OURIC).
The Objectives of OURIC are:
- To support the mission of the Office of Utilities Regulation which is:
“To contribute to national development by creating an environment for the efficient delivery of utility services to the customers while ensuring that service providers have the opportunity to make a reasonable return on investment.”
- To ensure compliance with the Access to Information Act (ATI)
- To continue to be the regional Resource Centre of choice for utility regulation
- To provide our clients with timely, accurate and relevant information on utility regulation
OURIC’s collection includes:
- Books on utility regulation
- Audio visuals (DVDs and CDs)
- Annual Reports for Utility Companies
- Internal Publications: Annual and Quarterly Reports, Newsletters, Consultative Documents & Responses, Determination Notices and Directives
